    Help needed, a case for a L/13 & 7 mm Meybauer

Hi guys, need help with finding the right type of case for my double marked Meybauer. Should it be resting inside a LDO-type of case? Found this one and ordered it but not sure it is the right one?

Carl, the following are what my L/13 cased EK1 looks like. As far as I am concerned the case is original to the EK - but as ever I can't be absolutely certain. In answer to your question - should it be an LDO or "standard" EK case - I have seen double marked EKs in both types of cases.

                    Thanks Mike!

Any comments about the case that started the thread? Did Meybauer ever use that case with the round metal ring around the push button?

                      Hi Carl,

Welcome to the wonderful world of EK1s! A nice start you've got there.

I posted a few threads here in Cases + Packets when I first joined, all basically asking: "Is this EK1 case correct for this maker?" I was surprised to learn that -- apart from marked cases, of course -- no particular cases are thought to match particular makers for EK1s. There are some rough guidelines, such as the one you already hit upon (L/ marked EKs look good in LDO cases) but basically any case will do your EK1 justice.

(Someone please correct me if I am wrong about this)
                      Best regards,
                      Streptile

Cancelled the order of the case that started the thread because i've found the one below instead. It matches the ones found on the forum imo, any comments?

What would be the correct cross for this one ? 7 or L/13 or both.Any thoughts please.
