    A ordinairy Wehrpass from a auction

    Hello,

    Here is a recently obtained Wehrpass from a little grouping i recently obtained at a German auctionhouse. There are little treasures out there but you have to know what you want and what you are after !!!!!!!!!!! , so i asked for additional scans and as we will see it never hearts to ask for additional info ......

    Here is scan from his units he belonged towards => I think some off you guys will already have a clue what we are after

    Cordial greetings,

    ps : I still have to research the grouping in detail so I can't give exact details for this moment.

    the units

    Hello,

    His career started out in 1930 as he joined the police forces in Bavaria. First look learns us that he stayed with the police for 5 years and a note in his WP says us that he transferred towards the Luftwaffe on 01.04.1935 ( not scanned )

    Also in 1935 he did reach the civil Glider B certificate and as some of you already know this was a good sign to become a more specialized LW personel.

    he stayed in the LW and we see a very interesting unit entry appear dated 13.08.1940 where he entered the Segelflugschule Brausnchweig-Waggum !!!!!!!!, after this he did serve solely in glider training units to become a trained Glider pilot and become a Glider instructor !!!!!!!!!

    His last unit will attract a few other persons who have a interest in a certain unit ( I will let you guys guess .............. ) but destiny decided other wise for this person.

    Here is the second scan where we cans ee the Glider pilots badge entry !!!

    Cordial greetings,

        a few interesting promotions

        Hello,

        And as we see he was promoted towards quite a few very similar non commisioned ranks :

        * 1935 : Unterfeldwebel
        * 1938 : Feldwebel
        * 1940 : Oberfeldwebel
        * 1942 : Stabsfeldwebel

        And now towards the last part of this small thread => the sudden end of our German soldier's carreer !!!

          the fatal entry

          Hello,

          And this particular entry ended this man's life as wel as his career .......

          * 10.05.1944 : Tödl. Absturz

          As we know this unit ( the III/L.L.G.1 ) was transferred from its base in France towards Serbia and Croatia and took a few weeks later part in the famous mission at Drvar ( against Tito ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , but at that time our Stabsfeldwebel was already KIA due to a fatal flying crash.

          I still have to research this little ( interesting, at least for me ) grouping in depth but only time wil help me with that

          Keep the search up and know what you are after !!!!!!!!!!!!!

                "Boring" indeed, Stijn! Sometimes the back pages DO reveal little jewels... to anybody who can red the old script! Congratulations!
