    This one has thrown me off a bit... the markings and the triangular reinforcements are new to me. Any thoughts

        Nice original RKF, in the much desired smallest issue size
        (50x85cm) many of which were used on U-boats and E-boats.
        Often canton iron cross is positioned further from fly edge on
        2nd pattern RKF's, allowing the more square type corner
        reinforcements, but in your RKF example the WW2 period
        maker had to use a triangle in the upper corner to miss
        covering the iron cross. Bottom corner triangle likewise
        would have looked odd if then done square. I suspect
        this RKF contract vendor was just starting their 50x85cm
        production run as corner material is from much
        larger size different material RKF's.

                        small flags imo would have been so seceptible to off cuts of material being wool or cotton thats why i think u get the miss match of colour in the reinforcing corners

                            Sturmj98k i was only trying to be a bit funny but i guessed u did not laugh but i was trying to point out that things like this is not unusual in factory production u have a nice flag there .I collect flags and have lots of them so i do know a bit but no expert
