With what was the analyse done? now you would have to check two other ones from the same maker date to find out your range ...
Then start with TK rings and helmet decals ...

SS Totenkopf rings and helmet decals have both been successfully measured, the helmet decal results will be in a soon to be released publication

Well, so much for my theory that these things have a creamy milk chocolate center

I am going to pass on posting TK Ring Specs at this time as they are not my rings but a 34, 37, 43 and 44 were scientifically measured , however here is a nice SS flatwire TK analysis

                      X-Ray

Seems real neat, but what is the purpose? To detect fakes? Visual inspections work too, right? I don't get it.

                        Tunics Insignia

Can it tell you if SS insignia is original to a tunic?

                          Rings

My interest is purely curiosity. Be assured that my request was NOT based on wanting to duplicate original composition on the rings I make. The people who do my casting use commercial jewelry quality silver, which can vary in silver content. Trying to duplicate the GAHR formula would not only be impractical, but would yeild diminished returns. The main difference I can see is the fact that original rings DO NOT OXIDIZE AS QUICKLY AS NORMAL SILVER RINGS!!! If you question your ring, look at the areas where it's worn smooth. If you put it in a drawer and it oxidizes to a darker color fairly quickly, and as time goes by, seems to get darker, it's probably normal silver. Original rings DON'T seem to oxidize quickly nearly as much IMO. I'm guessing that maybe they used more tin in the originals, perhaps.

Can it tell you if the TK is original to the hat?

I think this is very interesting. Could you test the various parts of an RZM SS armband?
