    Photo Postschutz ?

    Hi,
Got these 2 phtos today, does any one has a clue what kind of service /NSDAP formation they are showing?
My personally guess would be somekind of Postschutz, at least the last one ?

The 1st photo, the sign says "Betriebszellle Postamt 1131"

Yes, the guys in blue are regular postal service employees while the ones in field grey are postal policemen.

Correct, but allow me to add that the postal employees/officials in the first photograph are also members of the NSBO (Nationalsozialistische Betriebszellen-Organisation), forming the active Nazi cell within their postal office.

In the first photo, does the person standing just to the left of the flag look like a girl? Could females even be NSBO members?

As far as I know, there were no female NSBO members; but that person is certainly not a girl, but a young, skinny guy. (Perhaps an apprentice.)

Both pics are rare. In the first pic, the Reichspost officials don't even have an adler on their cap--just a cockade, so the pic must date from 33-34.

Women did serve in the Reichspost, but I agree, the person in question is just a skinny guy.

Postschutz pics (from any era of the TR) are some of the rarest of all. In that pic, both the P/S and R/P are wearing the M-29 eagles, so I would guess the pic dates from 1935 at the latest.

Here is a pre-war pic of an NCO, probably from 35-37:

THe 38-45 style NCO visor. I believe these guys just added their wreaths to their earlier style visors:
