    Shooting lanyard

    Hello,

Could anyone help me with this shooting lanyard? The collor is silver aluminium wire.

It confuses me since it has no backing cloth and doesn't have ant trace of a shield that was once mounted... it was worn however, since it has traces of black thread on the loops (for afixing it ?)

Is this third reich? if it should have a shield, which pattern and collor?

    Any opinions/sollutions?

    Thanks in advance!
    (sorry for bad pictures)

This is a West German marksmanship lanyard minus its shield. Note the large "barrel" knots at each end of the twisted cord and the extra twists to the cord - more than the standard 14 twists seen on issue WWII German Army lanyards.

I can only agree with Tim, this is not a period ww2 lanyard.
      Kind regards,
      Giel
