    Schwerin PAB?

    Good day to all.

Just found this badge while doing my usual daily cruises for PAB's. Has anyone ever seen such a badge from this maker before and if so, are they authentic or fakes?

My knowledge is growing but still minimal but I thought Schwerin only made Kriegsmarine badges?

*scroll down a few posts, sorry for the earlier lack of images*

Thanks in advance for your input.
    Ever grateful,

James, in my opinion this is a fake PAB. Schwerin is not recognized as a PAB maker. The hinge and catch are unlike any I've seen on known PAB makers. You have to hand it to them though.(the fakers) They have dished it out on the reverse like the Schwerin navy badges!

                Hi James,

I agree with Chet on this one, pure fantasy badge. Schwerin never made any PAB's and as far as I know your right in assuming that they only made Kriegsmarine badges.

I do not like the catch...it looks as if the faker tried to copy the scooped out style of the Schwerin E-boat first pattern badge....I would be interested to know if this came out of what was once East Europe..or the West,

Gentlemen, thank you for your replies. I have some more images for you to take a look at.

Irrespective of the suspect nature of this badge, it has very nice detailing. IMHO, of course

John: I think the badge is out of Europe.
