    Any opinions/comments? DKig

This is a German Cross in gold my wife inherited from her uncle, who served with Patton's 3rd Army as an anti aircraft gunner (quad 50 half track), all through Europe until the end of the war. Sadly he was killed soon after his return in a car accident. He also left 2 Mauser 98's, 2 bayonettes, 2 helmets and some other odds and ends. I can find no maker marks or stamps, but it appears to be a Juncker?? Can anyone tell me what it is and it's insurance value? By the way, love the forum. I didn't realize there were others out there with my affliction. Thanks in advance for any info you can share.

Hey Steve, welcome aboard! Your DK does look like a legit Juncker, 5 rivet piece.

      Steve,

Welcome to the forum. Yes, I agree with George, an original unmarked Juncker German Cross in Gold (DKiG). In it's slightly worn condition I would guess the value to be right around $4,000.00 + or - $250.00. Juncker is not the easiest DK to find by any means, and it's replacement cost may go above this, in reality. It's a desirable collectible.

Thank you for sharing it here.

I don't see hollow rivets, I see solid.

                  Chris -
I use pix that appear on the forum to compare and ID, post them all the time here, I understood this to be an accepted and useful practice on this Forum. In fact I couldn't imagine this place having to ask the current owner every time if allowed to do so. It's an impossible task to know whose badge is whose and who's not allowing pix of his own or his former cross posted. I just checked, and I do have yours in my Original database as well as a Juncker DK that has once been given the thumbs up here. The pix are high res, clear, and show the detail very well.
However - you might have a good reason for not wanting these pix posted here!?
                  No hard feelings!

Photo deleted, Chris. I presumed (ventured without authoriuty) it would be alright to help another member in need. But, as you wish, I'll ask in the future before going there. Sorry, Chris.

                          Steve,

Here is a thread that may help you identify the maker of your DK...

This is a normal copy of german cross. I am surprise you ask about maker, what difference when it is a copy. This fake can be accept only by fool americans. In our forum romanov denis already long time ago accepted this as a fake.
