unknown visor cap

maybe someone can help me to find out what organisation this visor belongs to.


i got it to today.

i though postage or railway, but i was wrong.

It is an east german postwar cap with some Wehrmacht insignia on it. They might have a chance, but the cap itself is crap.
The oakleaf is 1.model Wehrmacht and I believe it is good. The eagle looks like 2.pattern and could be good, too. I can finally tell that, if I see the back. You should remove the insignia carefully and make some detailed pics.
If both are period, they should bring about 40 or 50 Euro together. But it is not a pair.
I hope you did not pay too much for this "wannabe-frankie"....

Yes, East German Prison Official with the grey piping. The chin strap is also incorrect. Minty examples of these DDR caps sell for around $20 on ebay.

I Agree for East German (don't know the branch buch SCHUPO is prob. wright )- post 1957/60 production
Chin strap is DDR Reichsbahn post 1951 production
