That would have been my first thought also, seeing that style pin. Browsing my 1914 EKI file I found another maker with similar pin assembly. I am just not keen of the WWI Meybauer dates, frames, etc. to expound any further on the suject. Here's a photo, Mike...

Robert, I was thinking of the hinge, pin, and catch. You can see this type catch on the Meybauer Spanich Crosses. This cross is probably from the mid-late 30s. Of course I could be wrong too.

OK Don,

I was focusing only on the pin, the TR Meybauer pin style. Yes, now that you mention it, the catch does look very familiar - Spanish Cross. That's a very nice EKI, Mike.
