Shouldn't there be an EK2 also? I know I've seen stickpins that are supposedly for the EK1 & 2, and I thought I'd seen them with all 3 levels.

But I could be wrong. That wouldn't be anything new!

Hi,

The only reason I can think of having a ring on the KC is for a ribbon/bow attachement. I have seen bow attachements on mini KCs (as a single piece) but not in this set up with multiple EK/RK. Is the ring appears integral to the KC?

There seems to be missing an EK on that stickpin, and the RK looks kinda wierd with the eyelet!

hate to say it but not looking good i too never seen a ring on top of the cross like this before

I have never seen anything like this before either.
Is it possible the ring on the "KC"was added later to "upgrade" the piece??

This stickpin looks to me is the same strike as one in your book Dietrich, on page 345(Just got my copy today, great book,Thanks),
..."3" in 1939 of the KC looks slightly higher on this one and the one in the book, the only difference that there is a wire loop soldered to the top of the KC, which they may did in some first stages of production and later on just simplified and less time consuming,...Dietrich, I was wondering if you know who has that pin from page 345 and if we can get some good pictures, so we can better compare the die.

Here is an EK III, EK II, and EK I combo for comparison....then there are those pesky little birds hanging out on top. I'll get the file out later tonight.
