Attached are parts of a very interesting catalog for sale by Kai Winkler on his website (850 euros) and I have never seen such a catalog before.
In it, among other things, is an example of the submarine badge Deumer has for sale. This is exactly like the "unknown" Hymenn style badge which shows up on two period postcards and several estates in both solid and hollow-back versions.
This leads us to two conclusions.
1. The Hymenn "type" sub badge is actually a Deumer dating from 1937 at least. What we now call a Deumer might be a later Deumer style, or made by another maker.
2. The Hymenn badge we accept as Hymenn (strange looking eagle but again with no prop/screw) was the only Hymenn style and not to be confused with the one in the Deumer catalog. We recently discussed a Hymenn that Mathias posted from an estate, so that is the only Hymenn sub badge at this point that we should accept as "Hymenn".
Now some images.
