Here’s a little something I thought I’d share with you – a nice mid-war, tunic removed Totenkopf collar tab. 5 points to the first person that can point out what’s unique about this particular example ; )

Well my properly poor attempt is that the Jaw stitching has had an unusual gap fill or change in stitching for some reason .

It appears to be hand embroidered. Of course, it is one half a pair of skull tabs, being for the rank side.

Yes... I've found it very quite to locate tunic-removed Totenkopf tabs, especially those that were made for the left (rank) side of the collar.



Does anyone else have any rank-side TK tabs they'd like to share?

Nice tabs, Bob. That is the first Dachau pattern TK rank side tab I've seen. The vertical tab looks very salty!

These rank side tabs don't surface too often.

Did the collar tab that Howard posted come from the same sorce as yours ?
That is quite a rare tab that you have and to have the rank side makes it quite a find. I do not have your skull facing in that direction in my referance file , so thanks you for posting it .
