Hi Guys, hope I am not boring your all with pics of my caps? Here is the very first cap I ever bought, a Luftwaffe Einheitsfeldmutze. I bought this cap with my first weeks wages from work, aged 16, back in 1977. My wages were then £20 per week, with £5 board to my parents, leaving me the rest to spend on kit The cap was priced £10. The insignia consists of an embroidered eagle and a Bevo cockade.

Side view. The cap is made from a fairly shoddy recycled wool. There are traces of red thread in the wool mix. I do not know if the photograph will pick this up, but look at the side flaps in the area where they start to curve into the front turn up.

The cap is lined with the usual blue/grey rayon. As you can see it has had some wear. The inked markings for the RB number are now very faint but the size stamp shows up a little better.
