    Mat,

There are many factors that go into the value of a Torn. E. b

    1. Condition
    2. Year of manufacture (1936-1938 / 1939-1942 / 1943-1944 / 1945)
    3. Presence of voltmeter
    4. Are the vacuum tubes in place
    5. Are the screening lids present on the internal sections.
    6. Does it work?
    7. Is there a lid?

Prices range from $400 to $1600 depending on the above factors.

The battery box is always highly prized, especially in good condition. I personally am not a big collector of battery boxes, since you get very little functional value in them. Since I don't take my radios in the field, and run them at home with custom-made power supplies, a battery box just takes up more space that could be used for another radio.

I've seen battery boxes go as high as 1000 Euro and higher, especially if it's in good condition and has all the leather straps, cables, etc.,

    On my website I have 3 Torn E. b recivers: dated, 1938, 1942 and 1945
