    Prague bar

I don't if it's just me but I love boxes. I think many people pass the boxes up and just by the medal. In my opinion it adds alot of depth to one's collection. It's offical I'm a box man.

Front and back of clasp. The backside looks alittle curved but that's just my terrible photography. Another thing is that the box is an L/11 and the clasp doesn't have a maker mark. I know that is should but I don't think that this clasp was placed in this box by someone after the fact. I not a 100% on this one but I think that it's possible that it was not marked.

        Kenneth,

I share your fondness for issue boxes.

Here is another. Perhaps a different maker?

Hi Guys just a question, why would a box of 1940-45 be marked ORIGINAL . All the best.

                      ?

Know I don't know but what I can gather it's like a marketing tool. I mean it is a private purchase piece. Have you ever been a soldier? If you have then you know regulations run your entire life and when you go to buy an award it better be within regulation or your just wasting your money because you can't where if it's not within regs. I have seen the orginal stamp on many boxes especially EK 2nd class boxes. These are just my opinions but they sound good to me and so there you go. Hope it helps

Huh, I wish people would pass on the boxes/cases lol - they did years ago when I first started that's how I obtained one or two without certain wards (not to mention a multitude of fakes too).A perfectly genuine and one correct very early form of Ldo box and again typical wording for such - the context of 'original' purports to the makers sanctioned status. One thing I am dubious of is the red packet for the bar; I'm not keen on those at all - I'd like to get one of those 'age' tested for the community so as we are in the know proper.I can't see the other box they are just red crosses in white boxes.Kenneth if ever you part with that in a month of Sundays to come, please let me know........I love it !(whilst on the WAF via my laptop my post tend to be in a mass text block hence the above wedge)

                          Hi

                          Marcus,

Wow I totally do not understand you. Maybe it's your British English but I understood very little from your post. Hey thanks for the compliment. I don't really want to get rid of it right now but if I do I will let you know.
