No! Definatly not a fantasy piece but a respected award! Why not do some research before making such statements?

Mostly given to soldiers of 90. Pz. Gren. Division as a cap badge issued with a small certificate for in the Wehrpass.

A very real and honorable award. I once had a client who equated his award of this insignia with the award of his EK1.

NO Way a Sardinia shield, first I ever heard of nice to know there still some badges out there I've never seen, however was this an official award or made by the soldiers themselves?

Never saw one in Detlev Niemann's 2004 priceguide...

hi...I have two of this badge bought on the net ilast years....
I'm interested in since I have a house in sardinia near aforest where some units of the 90PGD stationed before the armistice day..... I found many relics from the 90PGD with metdect....Ill try to post a pic of both before the end of the months...but I would like to have the original document of it, to complete the badge.

Now THAT is the question. It's a rare find, and without solid provenance and/or a full money back guarantee, it's tough one to find.

                            Hi Bob,

I've seen the style you show pop up within the last ten years. I'm not positive but I suspect they are copies.

Heres my shield which came from a U.S. Army vet here in town. It should allow you to compare. Then you can make your own assessment.WR Jim
