    Skull Pole Top

    Just picked this up complete with the 2 piece pole. Any ideas?

    Wow--that's very cool!
    My guess would be one of the Freikorps or Veteran's Groups that utilized a skull for their symbol. Or very early SS. Does the pole give you any clues? Is it black or brown?

        The poles are black laquered and have brass screw together devices. The upper pole has 4 eyelets for clipping the flag into place. Total length is a little over 8 feet, with the pole top in place.

            The shape of the top is reminiscent of those used by veteran's groups. My thought is it is Freikorp.

                              This flag is a real gem. A one-looker, even from photos like this.

                              Probably unique. Certainly much rarer than a DE standard.
