    Early "Heavy" 20 marked DKiG

Here is one to watch for. Most 20 marked DKs have a cupal backing plate. The early ones, however, had a tombak plate w/ the catch soldered directly to the plate. Other than that, and the much heavier weight, they are identical to the light ones. This cross is part of a grouping which includes the round three EK1 pictured below

        Andy,

Very nice and nice to see one that doesn't have a chip out of it or an ugly repair job on the enamel. Someday.

          Hi Andy,

very nice example and often I can recognize the heavy type from the rivets with inside space more reduced and the bigger lapel slightly (it is not this the case)

          regards
