Ring reverse, you can clearly see 800 and L/52 stamps. First I thought this to be early Souval fake, but it seems to be total L/52 fake...

Measurements are exactly as Detlev States "20" Zimmerman to be 48,8 x 55,2 mm.... But "1939" tells the difference... ring tells the difference...

I was stupid enough to examine the case first and then looked at the Cross, which looked like Souval at first hand... for me....from a distance...

Did I just try to buy post war Souval (fake)... and somebody sold me Zimmerman fake?

              That's how learn...

Jani, it's a run of the mill Souval! It appears however to have been augmented by the addition of the '800' stamp which distorted the frame slightly!
                Regards,
                Dave

No regular loop - though most interesting "loop". I'll send pictures as soon as the former owner finds that thing ... I am still waiting...

He said it looked like custom made "device" to hang cross with proper way, nicely made of metal wire.

                      I'll be back.

                          George,

This is how I got the set. There has been loop sometimes - propably with oaks as seen in bending on interior cover.

The strange thing must be something to hold on ribbon on correct position, but I do not know how it could work. It has been there already when the former owner got the cross - loop was already missing.

                          Regards,
                          Jani
