    WW1 ek2 maker 00?

    I got a group of 3 WW1 iron crosses recently bought back by an American Red Cross worker in 1919 . So what is this 00 maker ? Thank you Rob

                      IMO, same cross as mine, although finished a little differently. Marked 'A' for Assmann. Some photos...

                        Hi,

                        For me, the core was used by more than one maker.

                        I agree, the marking looks more like an 8 than 00. The mark could also be a partial B on it's side.

                        The vast majority of Imperial EK2 maker marks are unknown. Some are known, more have best guesses. Imo it is not possible to definitively ID the maker of the EK2 in question.

                            Do not have a B in my chart ... a round dot struck 2 times was my first thought .
                            B - on its side - possible ?
