HJ (VERY early or over sharpened?)

Can anyone tell me if this HJ knife is a VERY early version or if it was modified by over sharpening along with the addition of a false edge. I don't see any makers marks or motto. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ron, thanks for taking a look. I thought that this type blade was a very early style? But I see that you are referring to it as late . I was misinformed all this time. Do you know when or how long this style blade was produced?

IMO rivets od grips plates does not look like WKC product. And scabbard is replaced.
Marker logo was "deleted" during sharpening process.

WKC Bowie blade hj , it has the correct scabbard with pebbled leather hanger & snap loop, very desirable hj to own amongst hj knife collectors

Schlange you are wrong big time !!

                  Schlange,

You are indeed again completely wrong in your assessment!
Maybe it is time to stop commenting on daggers, because it is reducing the value of this forum seriously!
Please, stick to the stuff you know about, like the 1$ foto's and so on that you collect.

As already indicated by Mac, this is a very typical late WKC bowie blade: the rivets are exactly what they need to be, the scabbard leather is very typical and this version is always without any maker mark.

                  Best regards,

                  Victorman

Better than "late war" that I've seen used every so often to describe various types of types of knives/daggers, can anyone provide a time frame for when these were made? A year or range of dates? As for grips in general, there is some physical evdence that some grip makers actually made them for multiple end users that apparently got them from the same source. FP
