WWII German Schuma (Security Police) Officer Sleeve Shield ??

    Hi Everyone,
    Advice please!
Can any one shed any light on this (Schuma??) sleeve shield? It seems very well made, and is in excellent condition, - but I cannot find anything out about it. Is it a fake? I have come across the grey/green Schuma cloth versions but I have never seen an ornate gilt thread one like this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Terry

I have never seen an insignia like this. I suppose it is supposed to be for a "general" officer as it is in gold wire, BUT I don't think there were any general officers. Senior officers were German.

The bullion work does Not seem period to me, but as I have never seen this type of insignia in bullion before I may not be a fair judge. All officer insignia I have seen have been machine woven "BEVO" type.

I would be very suspicious of this personally.

    Regards,
    William Unland

No wonder, Terry. What's gilt bullions supposed to be for? SchuMa Waterways' or SchuMa Generals'? Neither existed. Artistic freedom of Pakistani art of embroidery. Sorry. I side with Mr Unland and would stick with BEVo/woven specimens.
