Strange Gerd,…. I have seen the exact same display this afternoon in someone else’s collection… The eagle, in contrary of ones seen ordinary was sown on a background and appeared to have been worn…Can you post a picture of the back of your two badges?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Gerd , very nice items !
Like I said in the mails I've send you, IT IS NOT MADE BY REITZ ! ( I feel like I am fighting against windmills here ! )
The truth about these insignia will be reveiled soon ( I have good hopes )
The back of the shield has been reinforced in the same way as these eagles were reinforced before being sewn to a cloth or directly to the jackets.
If possible it would be great to have some major close ups of the front of the lion shield. That way I hope to be able to determine if the shield and the eagle come from the same factory.

Just bought this tunic a few hours ago. It’s a tinted German tunic, heavily damaged and restored. Fortunately I had the cap already in my collection.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
