Enorepap--your invaluable research never ceases to amaze me! Its looking like there were very few makers postwar that did not exist before/during the war--thats why I love this hobby--it's just one mystery after another, yet a lot of them are getting solved!

Hi Stonemint. Thank you for the nice words

I think that with a little help from the "imperial guys" it could be really possible to go back to the very beginnings of many makers (and above all to their first trademarks ). I have tried to decode them on my imperial headgears but they are almost all illegibles

      best regards

The capital K superimposed on the vessel’s sail seems to have been a very popular logo. This is an example from a merchant navy visor by KRAUSE. I think that the inscription “GRAF LUCKNER MUTZE” identified the visor’s pattern, as for the “GORCH FOCK MUTZE” ones:

HANS KOSANETZKY MUTZEN of DORTMUND, an der Windhake 12 (previously with office in Munsterstrasse and Altendernerstrasse).

I'm not sure about the definite period he started with production, so I post him here.

          best regards

            Hi Stonemint

These hats were traded by Albert ZIEGLER GMBH & Co. KG., which is a leading group in the field of fire brigade's equipment. This is a link to their current sale list:

            http://www.ziegler.de/index_de.php

Another main company which is even in the same business is KRUMPELMANN GMBH, with offices in LANDSHUT and ERGOLDING (N-E of Munchen).

Once again, enorepap, your wealth of knowledge makes me look like the amateur I am

I don't know if Ziegler produces their own caps in house, or whether it is an ALkero product, but at least they still use a nice Sattelform:

                Hi Stone

yes, a really nice shape ! I have the temptation to purchase it but I'm afraid NTZ could chop it for a test I'm joking, I think he will like it !

                best regards, my friends

It turns out that some of these makers on this thread did exist during the TR, so Enorepap can correct me if I am wrong.

                  Hans Kosanetzky, Dortmund:

I have yet to see this on a wartime cap (or KR or Weimar)--it looks like Segler:

                              end of the holidays ...

Erich BEINHORN (inh. Regina RUDNIK) of BRAUNSCHWEIG is currently involved in trading articles related to the railway's services and history. It seems to me that a logo showing the company's name was used many years ago for assemblying some deceptive visors.
