That printed sleeve eagle looks as if it may have been removed from a tunic. Is that correct or was it just trimmed around the eagle?

Here's the eagles - the printed one is folder for wear, and has loose threads. It was issued and worn. The emroidered one has strange long wings - not sure how to describe it but it's not like any of my others.

Dutch insignia is nice - I didn't realize these had so many parts. The one with the metal wolfs hook is particularly nice!

                    Robert,
You hit the mother lode... a collection in itself - congrats. Any luft smock eagles lurking in the pile?
                    Regards,
                    Fred

Let me check, Fred, and lurking is the right term - the vet actually sewed or attached the chevrons, eagles, and hat emblems together from the uniforms he took them from - an put a name tag on the back. Here's the rune - it's bigger than I thought these were -

Reverse - Gents, thanks for all the fine compliments on this coup. I'm happy to have increased my SS cloth by such a margin!

This is an unusual piece - marked to the GESTAPO with a serial number -

Fascinating. I am unaware of any documentation that these printed eagles were ever issued, but this one seems to be evidence that they were. Of course it could have been applied to something postwar, but that seems unlikely.
