    Guys,

    Thanks so much for the responses.

    Any concerns with the originality of the AKCT itself?

    Again, the help and insight is much appreciated!

      Hello Calvin,

      do not write the boards off as fake. The ones on your tunic look to be type that was encountered in Tunisia and Italy. They do not seem to be well known by tropical collectors today at all. I am awaiting permission to show images of some veteran brought back examples and provide more background about this type.

      There was also another pair of this type shown here;

      Again these ones were also declared bad which is not right

        Cufftitle is postwar applied IMO

        Not a fan of the shoulder boards, however others may have different opinions

        As couple of eagle shots. Postwar applied?

            Tunic Tropical

            Soft images. However,the eagle and collar tabs look wartime applied indeed, no question. Not crazy about the CT and not comfortable about the boards as they are not of the textbook type. With respect to their possible originality; a crisper image of the litzen waffenfabre would help to put the question to rest. But all in all an unlikely to have been in combat tunic. Pimped up a bit.

              It should be noted that the base tunic is a nice example of a Heer tropical tunic of the type issued during the latter N. African fighting.

                The AKCT is a fine early unissued version, but is a redflag on a nice unissued 2nd pattern tunic with original factory insignia. The sraps might be ok, just going off the poor photos for now...?
