stunning photo group from Hermann Graf seeing the FW190 the first time

Hi, I would like to share this nice group with you. IMO it shows the presentation of the FW190 to him.
He wears the swords without diamonds, so I would say, the photos were taken in summer 1942.

Great pics, I love the 190's,
Very interesting jacket he is wearing, looks like a suede type material,
                Thanks for sharing

A question that could seems to be quite stupid… Looks like that Hermann Graf wear a sort of french made bike jacket with its inside out! Look ah the pocket and the waist boucle… Seem as if he was made to modify the jacket (reverse the buckle, sewn the flap on the former inside pockets) to be able to wear it to the reverse!

                  Best,

the FW190 visible in my post #3 shows a sign which is assigned to Ergänzungs- Jagdgeschwader 1 (from website wwIIdaybyday).
This was formed at 1 Dec 1944.
Any ideas? Are the photos such late???

Nice group of photos. The RKT is GFM Hugo Sperrle.
I'm at work, but relying on my memory( !! ), I believe Graf was transferred from Russia to be gruppenkommandeur of the newly raised JGr 50, in southern France, in 1943. However, I don't believe that he ever flew any actual missions with the gruppe, which, again, I believe, was short-lived.

Wow wonderful photo grouping. The images of his cap are great also - heavy wear! Looks like a split on the visor too. Talk about hanging on to your lucky cap.

The Focke Wulf Fw 190A-5 W.Nr. 2594 was flow by Graf when he was with JGr Ost at Bordeaux in April 1943. The emblem of the mother bird feeding her chicks is of that unit (ref: Luftwaffe Emblems 1939-45 Barry Ketley Flight Recorder Publications)
