Interesting the Berolina mark is similar to the markings in suspect Luftwaffe tropical side caps.
Hi John,
Thanks for addressing my point. Did Berolina make the LW M41 also or just the LW sidecaps ? Searched through some of the LW M41 threads and did not see any from Berolina ?
There is a similarity between this caps stamp and the LW fake Berolina sidecaps.
& Thomas thanks for posting the cap here on the WAF, as i had already mentioned what i thought.
Heer M40 caps would be stamped with the firms foremost name, which most of us are familiar with. Berolina was a subsidiary if that's the proper term to use. My 2 cents....the faker didn't have the right stamp for Heer caps. The cap looks cheezy too!....contemporary fabric used and the cut of the visor too shallow.

Hi Tim,
Considering LW tropical headgear, IMHO Berolina manufactured LW tropical sidecaps and "Meyer" hats. Have never seen a genuine Berolina produced LW M41 cap. But I have seen Berolina M41s with the same marking as this fake M40 and the suspect LW sidecaps. There was an example of a Berolina marked M41 on the LW sidecap thread but the owner removed the photo. Again, the marking in that M41 was similar to the marking in the M40 illustrated here.
Best,
John
