    "French-made"

An unusual example of the controversial so-called "French-made" zinc Minesweeper, previously posted by andrei1774 and discussed here. Whether unofficial non-issued wartime production or post-war reproductions remains unknown but "French-made" badges seem to have emerged in collecting circles around 1970. Also commonly called "Bacqueville" badges although that Paris company has denied any connection. Third term used is "Mourgeon", again with no proven basis.
