My very first Kriegsmarine badges - 1st pattern Eboat and RK Minesweeper

Yesterday received two badges to start the new collection with) Have no issues with the E-Boat but would like to hear additional opinions regarding RK Minesweeper. Looks too minty and shiny... Unfortunately I was unable to find similar badge thru WAF archives

Very nice badges in this thread!
RK tombak minesweepers are my favorite.
              Cheers,

                Hi Alex B.,

That Schwerin S-Boat is so stunning I simply have to upload your photos from the host server so we can always see them and enjoy them!

For some reason the obverse view of your Minesweeper currently isn't showing up on my computer screen (maybe some server issues). I'll try again later, but if it's anything like Alex K.'s example then I'll have to say it's absolutely no good and you must sell it to me immediately while you keep looking.

                Best regards,
                ---Norm

Ah, I found your images. Yes, I was right you definitely don't want this one to clutter up your collection, but I'll be happy to take it off your hands so that you can find one more suitable.

(In all seriousness, that's another stunner. )

                  Best regards,
                  ---Norm

And here's my example of this particular RK variant, the "Level 2", type 3.1.2 in the classification table. Not mint but hand vaulted and personalized by its recipient. As you can see, the "Level 2" variant, in contrast to the "Level 1" and "Level 3" Tombak variants has a rich, more caramel-coloured gilding. A very nice feature.

                    Best regards,
                    ---Norm
