I’ve had this awhile. Speaking to a fellow collector it was said that this takes the prize of being the jauntiest looking Luftwaffe visor he’s ever seen.
A light weight, southern front visor. The cotton crown of the cap appears larger in size than normal, almost ‘baggy’. Were it not for the crown piping clearly evident and, of course, the insignia, it has many traits of a Kreigsmarine summer visor.
The white cotton cover has a simulated piping and a reinforced edge as well as a center spring at the front. It's attached at the front with a snap. The aluminum bullion officer’s eagle is backed by a plate of tombac that has a pin attachment...
Anyway, one doesn’t often see Luftwaffe visors with the overhang of a KM visor so, for fun, I thought I would share some images.
