Dear All FJ Badge Experts
After Reading Tom's excellent book i now have doubt over this P. Meybauer badge! I wont go into details, I hope to see what others think. I will explain what can't easily be seen;
a. the reverse of the wreath is curved but not chamfered on the edges.
b. the pin is cylindrical
c. the rivets have small 'pinches' at the tops
d. the pin catch is offset slightly
e. the catch is cleanly attached to the wreath
f. the central catch barellel is smaller than the other two supporting barells
g. the central catch barellel seems to be a different material
g. the central catch barellel does not have the two horizontal lines as the
support barells do
I see no issue with the eagle , it looks 100% to me other than the crack in the tail but thas authentic!
I hope to get some good answers on this as Tom's book has opened my eyes to the tiny details!
Cheers Mike
