FLL Coastal Artillery Badge - opinion needed

Hope I have better luck than with my Assmann Paratrooper badge...here is an FLL Coastal Artillery Badge which I presume to be either a fake or a late war version. Any input would be appreciated . Can post more close-ups if needed...thanks Holger

Going off those looks like a lead based copy to me, look at the way the centre design is almost merging with the wreath at the edges, detail also looks fairly poor. A closer view of the hinge may help. All the best

Whats all the white stuff around the hinge and inside of the rim? does it look as if its trying to hide something?

Hinge, catch and maker mark all look wrong for an FLL. I suspect this is a freshly baked fake badge that has been artificially aged.

Thank you gentlemen for your input. I actually had wondered when looking at the swastika because it does not seem well defined. One might think it was wear but the gold colouring is still mostly present which it would not be if it was worn down. Again, it seems I got mislead. This is exactly why I stopped collecting badges a few years back. This one was offered to me by a friend that I trust. Doesn't mean he lied to me but we'll see if he will take it back.
