      great late model mess kits

your AEMA 44 must have the same RBNr as mines, and it still have a lot of its green painting outside

with the last one that arrived 2 days ago, I have 3 of them

I will present the last one as soon as possible after a small cleaning (dust),

I hope the marks are different but all the one I saw until today are always with the same RBNr and AEMA44 marks

hera are the pictures of my last found : a black enameled with RBNr

it is hard to take a picture of the marks and also hard to read it

I guess more than I can really read but it seems to be another 0/857/0001

              I found it !

since now I had no mess kit dated 1945
              now this error is corrected

              this is a MN45

              I am happy

here I am back after several months abroad

and 2 new mess kit : one from 44 and the other from 45

first, this one from 1944 with RBNr 0/0571/0116 made of steel but no paint or enamel. Seems to be covered with pewter as protection against rust

I already had her sister from the same factory, same marks, no paint but aluminium made

the other one, MN45 , no paint, made of aluminium but the main point is the lack of handle on the cover

now I have got 31 mess kits

                  best regards

WOW Daco, nice example are there, congrats, I'm always looking for an RBNr...

I am very interested when you say that "made of steel but no paint or enamel"

I have a big discussion in another forum about this debate......now, my question for you and other is: the red inside paint of messkit and canteens cup, what is? I think that is or rust or red paint for food or red lacquer, other friends say that red is enameled finish.... what do you think?

Thanks for bumping this up. I had not seen this thread before. Very interesting collection.

What is the price range on these pieces? Just curious.
