NSDAP Alten Garde Vet Grouping - Gauleiter Presentation Items- How Do I Assess Value?

While stationed in Germany some years ago, a friend directly obtained a nice grouping from the daughter of a Political Leader and I purchased the entire grouping from him. It included the items below and a large group of photos and documents and an SA dagger. My friend and fellow collector already has the docs and photos and I told him he would get these when I was ready to sell. As many of you know, over the past few years I have slowly sold off most of my collection to pursue other life interests and it is time to let my friend have the second half of this grouping.

We agreed that he could have the rest of the German Vet's items at whatever was is a fair collector value. However, if you look at two of the items, they are uncommon to say the least. Given their relative rarity, both of us have a time difficult finding a fair value as have a couple other collector friends more in tune with political items. I am sure one of the top dealer's could figure it out. The two day badges as you know are original "day of issue" and not the one's made later on in of themselves somewhat difficult to obtain.

I would like to credit Mr. Jeff Clark for previously identifying the two amber items as gifts given to the NSDAP Old Guard/Alten Garde during their travel to the Gau East-Prussia in 1937. The Alten Garde consisted of some 300 members who were invited every year by various Gaus to visit. During those travels they got special gifts and these are such gifts.

The disk is made of amber and shows the Tannenberg memorial. It is surrounded by a proofed silver disk dedicated from the Gauleiter and meant to be mounted on something (I don't what). The amber badge was also given at the event.

Either way, I want you to enjoy what has been a long part of my collection before it goes and I would appreciate any opinions on value.

Not a political collector, so I can't help with the value, but certainly a very nice and unique grouping Jeff.
