    Unknown RKT

Can anyone please help to identify this RKT?
    Thanks in advance.

Removed photo at the request of the author. It was sent to me via email and showed an RKT with a balloon Observers Badge which I've since discovered could not be real since the photo was taken in 1941. Here is the email from said author:

    Don,

The book, which has a ISBN number, and is protected under the laws of copyright state in my book very clearly, no reproduction of any sort. Â I have read on an open discussion forum where you posted a photo "from my reference book". Â Not very smart is it?

    I'll await your obvious action.

    R.FRIEDRICH HONTS

ps.........I have your address, so having my attorney send you a letter would not be a problem whatsoever.

Hi George, thanks for the response. Are you 100% sure? Do you know what unit he was in and do you have any other details about him?
      thanks again.

Thanks Richard. Here is why I was interested and why it is so important to do research. Supposedley this came out of that book Awarded for Bravery, by author R. Frederick.

Deleting doctored picture per the authors request.

This must have been the original photo.

Interesting,it has to be father and son or Uncle.
GL Wilhelm Thofern at the time of photo was Cmdr
of Troop Trg Area Gross-Born,and looking as though
                the General was presenting it.

Appears the author didn't like me posting the pic so I've ammended the thread.

You can post the image here. You can scan the whole book is you like and post it here and there is nothing the author can do about it if it is for discussion and educational reasons.

As doctored photos go, this is quite a crude job.
