The cap looks good with the exception of the grommet air vents. It would be good to hear from others about them.

In more cases than we realise in general and esp. with officers caps of all branches.

In fact the grommet thing is really only fool proof with DAK/tropical WH caps and even then you could get a rare exception but it would be rare.

In other cases the text book zinc ones are desirable but not always the case and each cap should be considered on its own merits.

This one is a nice original example in what appears to be mint even unissued condition and I bet those grommets are magnetic,
