I was visiting a man who has a very, very advanced collection this weekend.
He does not really collect German stuff at all, but does have one superb Legion Condor group with a Spanish cross in gold (and believe it or not, the group has 2 prelim docs, one for the cross in silver, and one for the cross in gold)

I almost overlooked the followig....

Can anyone give a price estimate? The cross is NOT for sale, but I was pleased to be able to tell the owner he had a rare bird. I think with maker mark even rarer. I had never seen any crosses marked 22 and to be quite honest, Boerger was a name I cant remember even having heard before.

I am all for investments increasing, but are you guys serious, 1000 EUR for a rounded first class? No doubt this is a rare beauty, but I was thinking in the $500 range. I must be totally out of touch with reality on these prices.

Bill, your cross looks like an unmarked one to me especially when I compare the 3 digit. I'd say it was a dead ringer in my humble point of view.

Every particular pieces have its price but I agree with Gary about the estimation, conditions are II- , early pin system can get up the normal price 10 -15% more, but really not more then 500 !

Hi Guys,

Sorry to intrude in Cross paradise, but you probably all saw Detlev selling such an EK for € 1000, two weeks ago and it sold in seconds.

Really think you cross guys are loosing it €1000 or at that moment arround $1170.

Think I rather invest that in a nice Schwerin first pattern S-Boat or an unmarked PO badge. But than again thats probably why I spend most of my time in on the qualification badge forum.
