    Mauser gun repair kit??

I think this is a gun repair kit? The tools are made by Mauser. The box is dated 1938. Does anybody know what this might be or what kind of gun its fixes, the tools fold out and there a little box thats slids out and its full of fireing pins.
    Thanks forany help.

bottom tool is a broken shell extractor, looks like 8mm. The rest looks like it will work on a variety like machine guns mounts, but then again ive never seen a kit like it. Obviously for an armorer.

That is a MG armourer's kit. Mine is for the MG34 and looks close to yours. The one you show is probably for the MG13.

                  Cheers

The kit appears to be marked with the BSW logo and dated 1938, just like the MG-13 magazines and camo painted ammo boxes that came out of Portugal. Thus, what Gary says makes sense - that it is likely a MG-13 repair kit.

I seem to recall IMA having these types of repair kits several years ago, again, in conjunction with the piles of other MG-13 stuff they got out of Portugal.

One more thought: Take a close look at the big open-ended wrench in the kit. This looks like the standard MG-08, MG-0/15, MG-13, MG-34 type combo wrench which, to my knowledge, is the same for all guns except for the markings.

Perhaps this big wrench is marked for the type of MG it was intended to be issued with? I suspect that it is marked in some manner, but on the side that is not visible in the photos.
