This M95 steyr Carbine was picked up at Dachau with several other weapons,, the Dachau script.. and some insigina... The Steyr rifle was updated some time in the late 30s.. It is duffle bag cut.. and came home with a US GI... Enjoy BILL

Reverse of Dachau Script?
Bill,
Have you ever researched the information that is handwritten on the backsides of the Dachau script? It looks like names and numbers: could these be the names and numbers of the prisoners who redemed the script?
Also, any chance you could post photos of the other Dachau-related items you acquired with this carbine, i.e. the other weapons and insignia?
Neat gun with interesting history; thanks for sharing it with us.

These are among my favorite rifles. The straight back pull bolt makes this one of the fastest bolt actions ever made. I guess the action was not as strong as the M98 Mauser or all bolt actions would be straight pull.
I would love to see the bayonet as I never knew which was the correct bayonet for the M95 carbine.
