So we're up to about a dozen caps now I think.
Ben, some seem to have a larger bill than others, did you notice that?

This one is from the Francesco C. collection.

        Ah yes, Francesco's cap.

Not rare at all are they!? lol

I did notice that the bills differ on these caps, some are much wider than others.

That's the one currently on regimentals, shame about the damage.

The black ones are obviously much harder to find.

Congrats Ben. These are super rare, but the salty combat look Yours have is the best.

A friend of mine recently showed me this one which is an astonishing cap but so is/was the price!

It's interesting to note how many of these had wasserdicht cloth sweat shields which is not a common feature on any other TR hat.

I'm actually very surprised no one has snapped up the Oakleaf cap yet.
At 14k it's a very good deal for a coloured piped cap!

Prehaps the low price has put collectors off but I see absolutely no reason to doubt it despite it not having been made in Germany most probably.

Here's that same shaped peak again. Squarish and narrow.

Historical significance and it being incredibly interesting results in it being priceless.

This thread becomes a database for these rare visors. Go on guys. I'm curious about the companies who constructed these caps as there differences in construction.
