Her is mine to compare. If I remeber correctly, there was also discussion (sp) about the number of digits in the seriel number with regards to autenticity as well. Robert

I too now have a photo showing the badge in wear. No longer have an example of the badge though!

Not quite as clear as the other images but certainly the badge in question.

            All the best,
            Toby.

From what I have read the only maker of these badges was J. Preissler, Pforzheim and they all were serialized but no higher then five digits. I like these new period pictures thanks for posting.

I agree with James Comment above, I would not want one that does not conform to the above criteria in my collection.

                  Cheers

                      mm ES real or not?

what about this pin for sale at Weitzes'? it is maker marked ES and has a number 105011.
Kai Winkler has the same but number 105137.

It's another of the "which side of the fence do you sit" scenarios. Some collectors believe these 6 digit numbers & other makers are OK, others don't........

With these type of things you have to make your own judgement.......

                        Cheers

I have had no luck finding a Preissler made, serial numbered, pin with perf3ect enamel. If anyone has one available, please let me know.
