The so called Southern cross is a 1936 founded tradition badge (in memory/ in honor for imperial Africa Police forces) given to a few Police units

Police Bremen (for Südwestafrika), Kiel (for Kamerun), Hamburg (for Kiautschou). November 1942 Stammpersonal Polizeischule (für Auslandsverwendung) Oranienburg and III./Pol.5 Stuttgart and some more
