    Luftwaffe snow camo

Though it doesn't perfectly match the description of a Gebirgsjäger anorak, it is close. From GP's collection. Thoughts, ideas, comments?

            Hi Will,
I remember seeing something similar a few months back, which is part of the emergency survival kit stored on an aeroplane. I could not find the thread, but if I do I will bump it to the top.

Jerry, I have heard that as well. But, I have not been able to confirm it and I wonder why it is made like a GBJ anorak. It doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

Hi Willi, yes, I never understood why they were cut like an GBJ anorak, but that they are Luft survival kit was the opinion of all when it was posted. I could'nt find the thread, but there is an eagle still insitu on the luft breast eagles thread, about 3 pages back, it is the later version than the one you have shown and was posted by Harry. Here it is.

                    Thanks Steve and Jerry.

I would still like to find a reference to the survival kit angle. It just seems so nicely made for something to use only when bailing out (or crashing) in a snow covered region.

I have some doubts about the early eagle....is it really legit? It looks a bit like some of the fake tropical shirt eagles out there...

I have an eagle like this and feel it is 100% period. Are there any LBA marks on any of these examples?

                          hallo,

                          gruss

FW190 - great info, as usual.
Has anyone ever seen a pair of those gloves!!
Also, there appears to be some variation - the pants in the photos in the book appear to have leg pockets....
