Is this Kriminalpolizei-Leitstelle sign a reproduction?

I've had this for many years and was told long ago that it is a reproduction. I really don't know. If it is a reproduction, it is very well made. It is metal with a porcelain finish. It measures 15x18. Comments welcomed.
