    1st pattern eagle pole top

This is on estand with several other pole tops. I don't know much about these, so looking for authentication help. Any issues with this 1st pattern eagle pole top? It has an RZM stamp on the base, but I wasn't sure if the RZM existed when these were made. Comments welcome.

    Thanks!

            RZM60 is correctly marked.
Was there also a Gahr marked version for the first pattern?

Not that I have seen, but the gahr 2nd model is very rare in and of itself so im not saying there isnt, I just havent seen it and it would be very rare.

As fir the pole top it appears correct, other then all the paint is missing from the swastika. These hiwever are very hard to tell, and they do make rather good fakes. Id wait for ofw to chime in on this one! I know hes shown pics of that maker mark, one being correct and one having cast flaws. It is very hard to tell with these so if I were you I would wait for ofw to give his opinion on this one before buying!

It looks like it has the lines for the extra detailing on the neck which isnt seen alot. One other thing that jumps out at me and is a concern is the not well defined diagonal lines around the circle. Sometimes the chrome plating runs a little and covers up some of the finer detailing on these. Id want some close up pics of the detailing before id buy this. This might be the hardest of the poletops to authenticate, just because theres very good repos, and the differences are often very subtle. Just my 2 cents but I wouldnt wanna see you get burned, these normally go for like 300 to 400 at the cheapest, thats a pretty big hit to take on your pocketbook for a fake repo, and with these you might not even realized youve been burned right away!

He's trying to sell all at once at the moment, said he may split up. So I'm waiting anyway, no rush. Glad to get lots of input. Thanks!

After looking at tge listing on estand I can tell you his patern 2 eagle isnt right. That stamp on the back of the swastika isnt good at all! The rzm mark is sketchy on that one as well, but i think ive seen some other poor cast rzm marks of that particular code but that one is really rough. That doesnt mean the patern one is bad, but its definitely something to be considered about seeing as it looks like he got these all at the same time. I dont recall ever seeing that rzm code on a DAF type 2 either. The type 2 looks ok, but im not sure about the front stamp on that RAD either. The PC looks good but I want to say the front stamp in the triangle isnt right. I think most ive seen have RAJ, but I have never owned one so im not positive. That type 2 eagle is a problem, best case scenario that eagle stamp got added later. But add the fact it has no screw holes, and a very poor stamped rzm code, and theres no shots of the bottom of the polecup, I wouldnt buy that one. Your gonna want closer pictures of the fine detailing on that pattern one and the option to just buy individual pieces.

Actually the rad is good, it would be nice to see the bottom of the pole cup as there should be markings. However that type 2 eagle is for sure not right.
