Hi all,
Just got this nco summer tunic from a friend of mine who got it himself from Germany last year.
I like it very much but would like to hear your reactions to it as the construction considerably differs from the texbook ones I am familiar with.
I think it is made at the front from russian captured cloth but the cloth also reminds me of the one seen in several GJ windbluse...or maybe early ReichHeer?
I know from other threads that nco's much favored summer tunics made in russian cloth,so this is my first guess.
The tunic had been once denazified by removing the breast eagle and the Krim shield, which both turned out to be somehow hidden in one pocket. Both insignia seem definetely coherent to the tunic, as everything exactly matches, from the holes in the handstitching to the shape, worn condition, fading and markings left by them on the tunic.
The tunic is inside finished with hbt clothing as partial liner and a M36 collar was added. Also M36 tunic liner seems to have been used to finish inner part of the cuffs. I have found no markings at all. There's lots of swear stains on the tunic as well.
You all know that my picturing skills are not very good and I tried to do my best, but it is a rainy day here and I lack sunlight. Anyway lots of pictures to follow.
So the question is what do I have here? A genuine? A put together? A fake?
Thanks for your assistance.
Regards,
Ace
