    The OT twins

Here are my OT twins, not exactly identical but from the same "mother". (same RBNr and same size even!)

One hat was denazified and came restored with an incorrect Heer trapezoid (for the British speaking crowd "trapezium"),
Now both have correct distinct OT (Org Todt) insignia applied!

Both BeVo and embroidered OT insignia have the proper OT brown backed cloth, matching the OT caps and the embroidered one is triangular shaped, as opposed to trapazoid shape, with a typical OT white edge border.

Yep twins alright! From the same nest! One came from Holland, the other in the States, now united in California!

          Twins

They are Twins and only a Mother can tell the difference.

I am also a twin and having said that, my brother also collects big time!
Yeah these OT brothers won't be seperated...after being seperated from birth they're now staying together as the insignia makes each one unique...
I guess we can call these "fraternal" twins now!(sometimes referred to as not-idential twins)!

Here's another example, not in my collection but a "bring-back" donated by a vet to a University back East somewhere (locked up in their collection...a web image) and posted for comparison purposes.
This example is a light weight HBT Org Todt hat, but it has the very same brown-olive color BeVo "OT" trap.

Funny isn't it, if they were Heer M43's, you would have had a loads of replies by now. Thanks for posting, I had no idea some of these were Org. Todt. stamped. That herringbone cap looks great, any shots of the inside?

Great pieces, and under-appreciated. I have only one M-43 in my collection, and it is an officer's OT, and it attracts more attention than the visors.

                Thanks for displaying your "twins"....

Can do ! No Org Todt property stamp in this one but its common in OT to have all garments stamped, tunics, overcoats, pants, overpants, field caps etc, seen many examples!
(Again this one is not from my collection unfortunately...Its from a museum/university collection.
Note how the museum curator is handling it with white gloves!
as if its the golden mask of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen!)

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Most are Org Todt stamped --- quite frequently from Wiesbaden if I recall (I have owned quite a few)
