    Shipping inert ordnance overseas

HI. Did you have any unpleasant experience with the authoities when sending inet ordnance from Europe to the US or Canada? Are there any regulations that interdict such shipping on either shore? As far as I know there shouldn't be any problems, but we live in crazy times...

    Shipping to US

In my experience a bit of trouble comes from Homeland Security. They can be a bit paronoid about inert ordnance. However apart from an open bag search by TSA I brought inert ordnance home after the Show of Shows this year. Shipping from the US can be a bit problematic.
I have had more trouble and had items destroyed by both British and German border controls (88 mm rounds and rifle grenades). Bringing such items into New Zealand is not a problem, it's getting them out of some countries.

    Cheers

Taken the items were indirectly labeled, I never had problems with receiving M-24/39 grenade heads, stick handles, caps from Russia, and Europe on multiple occasions. Also an entire 8.8 cm round from England via maritime shipping

          Shipping inert ordnance overseas

          Hi,

it is not allowed anymore to ship inert ordnance from Europe to overseas.

I had one 10cm Nebelwerfer round confiscated by the customs at Frankfurt
Airport last year, this year the Luxembourg authorities confiscated a
          German SS rifle-grenade 61.

Both items were not returned to me, an expensive experience......

There is no problem with stick-handgrenades, as the shape is different.
But I always ship in 2 different parcels, one with the can and 1 with the stick.

As soon as it is shaped like a projectile or a grenade, it is detected at the X-ray control and confiscated.

I won´t try anymore for sure.

I have never sent any to the USA but was about to send some Flak mags and Kwk40 rounds sometime ago. Before doing anything I contacted the BATF and asked. I would ask them before moving a thing. If you get all the papers there should be no problem, and if you don't get the papers, you won't lose your money, at least.

You need to make things look like other non dangerous items.

Like is this a large spool or the shell for a Wurfgranatpatrone 326 LP

Is this an old oil lamp or a WW1 grenade????? hmmmm

Misdirection, is the key with shipping ordnance.

                      lol

I received a German fuze from the UK 2 years back without issue.

Might want to include a note that the contents are non-hazardous and inert
